As of January 1st 2020 most NB Inspections are changing to bi-annually. . There are exceptions to the 2 year rule with some vehicles still requiring annual inspections. What does my cabin air filter do?
Cabin air filters clean the air you breathe inside your vehicle. If they get plugged up you will notice reduced air flow with your heater and AC vents. People with allergies should have their cabin air filter changed more often.
Why is preventative maintenance so important?
Preventative maintenance helps to improve your safety, enhances reliability, helps save on expensive vehicle repairs, ensures a higher resale value and reduces roadside emergencies. The more you know about your vehicle, the easier it is to keep your vehicle running in tip top shape.
What are the new rules for NB Inspections?
New rules for NB Inspections were implemented as of January 2020. New vehicles have a 3 year sticker, all other vehicles must be inspected bi-annually with the exception of over weight vehicles. All trailers 1499kg and under only need the 1 inspection and over needs to be inspected annually.
How often should I change my windshield wipers?
We recommend you change your wipers every 6 months.
Why should I rotate my tires?
Rotating your tires on a regular basis ensures they wear evenly and also maintains the warranty.
What to look for when taking your tires out of storage.
When taking your tires out of storage there are several things your should look for. Are there any broken belts, bulges, weather cracks, uneven wear or wear bars showing? If you see any of the above talk to us about pricing new tires.
When can I put my studded tires on? Take them off?
Studded tires can be installed as early as October 15th and must be off by May 1st.
What should I do if my engine light comes on?
Most of the time the engine light is a sign that something is wrong but not urgent. If your engine light is flashing that is a signal that something is wrong and we do not recommend you drive your vehicle further. Get in touch with us ASAP.
How do I know what my tire pressure should be?
The best place to see what your vehicle's tire pressures should be is inside the front driver's side door post.
Where can I find out if my car has an active recall?
Transport Canada keeps a listing of all vehicle recalls as well as your vehicle's manufacturers website.
Why should I undercoat my car?
Undercoating your vehicle protects against all the road salt and grime. It prevents to corrosion that builds up over time and keeps your vehicle running longer.
